Honour House has now secured a property at 509 St. George Street, New
Westminster. It will be located on a quiet, residential street so as to
provide a restful, family oriented environment. Honour House will be fully
accessible and a children's play area is planned for the property.

This would not have been possible without the support of
the Royal Canadian Legion, New Chelsea Society, BC Housing, Vancouver Regional
Construction Association, Walter Francl Architects and many others.
A sod turning ceremony took place on Saturday, April 24
with New Westminster Mayor Wayne Wright and Admiral Tyrone Pile
participating. It is anticipated Honour House will be open for business
in time for Veteran's Week, November 2010.

Comments from Capt. (Ret'd) Trevor Greene
"I
regret that Debbie and
I couldn't be here today for the ground breaking. Honor House is a noble idea
whose time has come. Having a refuge where the injured person and their family
can be together is a powerful healing force critical to recovery. All the
members of the Honor House Society have worked above and beyond the call of
duty to make this vision a reality. I am proud to be honorary patron and
look forward to crossing the threshold of Honor House when it opens later this
year."
