Captain Franklin Keith Brown CD

(1919 – Aug 27, 2010)

BROWN, Franklin Keith left this life on August 27th at Brock Fahrni Pavilion, Vancouver. Born in Paris , Ontario , in 1919, Keith served proudly as a Captain in the 63rd Field Battery, 19th Canadian Army Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery throughout WW II. His subsequent career with the Canada Trust Company brought him west to Victoria then Vancouver. Keith attended Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, faithfully serving on the Board and anchoring the Men's Club. He volunteered his business acumen to St. Andrew's Hall Presbyterian College at UBC, was a member of the Vancouver Club, and enjoyed lunches at the 15th Field Artillery Regiment Officers Mess, where he also volunteered in the museum. Lovingly nicknamed `Unc', Keith was a devoted second father to his niece Debra and nephew Keith and their families. They, and his sister-in-law Jean Brown, will miss Keith's wry sense of humour, gentle laugh and painstakingly chosen birthday cards. We rejoice that Keith is now with Our Lord, and reunited with his parents, and brother, Ivo Jack Brown.

Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11th at Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church, 2733 - 41st Avenue , Vancouver .
